BRONZE MemberHello everyone! Friends, please help me with some advice!
I have a B&O Beosound 9000 (first generation, type 2523). I bought it and arranged delivery to me in Moscow (Russia) from the USA. This Beosound 9000 is adapted for 120 V power, but in our houses in Russia we have 220 V. My wife decided to turn it on and forgot about the voltage reducer transformer. The red indicator started blinking fast, and a light crackling/humming sound appeared — the same kind of noise as from acoustic cables in car audio or as distortions from a radio receiver. She immediately turned it off and left it for a day. After that I turned it on again with 120 V, but it died and doesn’t react to anything. Could the problem be only in the power supply fuse, or could this situation have destroyed many other parts? If yes, then which parts could be damaged? We don’t have an official B&O representative or service center in Russia because of the political situation in the world, so I don’t even know where to start diagnosing the system. Thank you in advance for any help and advice. I wish everyone good health and peaceful skies over their heads! Thanks!
