      Hello from Las Vegas!

I have a 4000 with a dead left channel and before I go and do a total re-cap thought I might ask is there any known idiosyncrasies as to voltages on this unit. Because I am getting some weird ones.

It has that extra 8002135 board…loudness?….that had some out of spec resistors which I replaced but things are still not right.

The resistor marked 1500 ohms should be 2.7k like the one I replaced.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Last time I had a silent channel it was from the large output capacitors.

Should it happen again, i would start there.

Thank you but I figured it out. Shorted TR51…..

            Hi,

Good that you figured it out.
You mention a 1,5kohm resistor you suggest shall be 2,7kohm – is it 566 at basis of TR53 and why do you suggest this changed value?

No, it’s on the 8002135 board…image above…that is not on the schematic. Two 2.7k resistors were down to 1.5k so they were replaced with the correct value….
