anyone upgraded there 140s?
how?
seems all these speakers have the kiss of death (woofer foam disintergrating)
cant get replacements
only found a re-foam kit on offer
so i bought some fenton 6.5″ woofers
seem to work good but il test them fully tommorow.
case recovered
new straps
i even made new stands from scratch as i couldnt find any for sale

I am about to refurbish my RL140s. I bought the re-foam kit [currently in transit] as well as the new straps and a recap kit from Beoparts. No stands, though, so I would be interested in seeing how you made yours up.

ModeratorSurely not as good as if the original woofers were kept and refoamed.
I seem to remember the original woofers being 16 ohms impedance – they certainly are in parallel for 8 Ohms speaker impedance.Martin
