BRONZE MemberHello everyone,
I own a BeoVision Harmony 77″ from 2019, currently fitted with the original LG OLED77C9.
I’m considering upgrading the screen to a newer LG OLED77 G5 (2025) or LG OLED77 G6 (2026) while keeping the existing Harmony sound centre, speaker mechanism and stand.
From my research, I understand that the original C9 screen mounting interface (B&O part 1711201) is different from the mounting interface required for newer LG G-series panels.
The B&O mounting adapter 1712601, reportedly compatible with the 77″ G2/G3/G4/G5, seems to cost around €500, which is quite expensive for a mounting bracket.
My questions:
- Has anyone successfully upgraded an original 2019 Harmony 77″ from the LG C9 to a newer G-series OLED (G3, G4, G5 or G6)?
- Is it possible to modify or reuse the existing C9 mounting bracket instead of replacing the complete mounting interface?
- Does STB Brackets already offer an upgrade adapter for the Harmony, similar to their Eclipse upgrade solutions?
- Does anyone know a more affordable source for the original B&O adapter 1712601, possibly second-hand?
- Are there any software compatibility issues, LG setup changes or limitations with the Harmony motorised mechanism after upgrading?
Photos, installation instructions, part numbers and real-world experiences would be greatly appreciated.
It would be interesting to find a practical and affordable upgrade solution for owners of the original Harmony, especially since the sound centre and mechanical system are still excellent.
Thanks in advance for your help!
