    Hi everyone,

I’m using an older Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 7 TV model that does not have an HDMI input — only a DVI-I input. My setup includes a Wbox HD2s digibox connected as follows:

    • HDMI out from the digibox to an HDMI audio extractor

    • From the extractor:
HDMI out to the TV’s DVI-I port via a DVI-HDMI adapter
RCA audio out to the TV’s AV audio input

This setup used to work flawlessly. The TV input is configured correctly (AV4, video source set to DVI, audio from RCA), and I haven’t changed any settings. The digibox is set to output video at 720p resolution.

Recently, the TV stopped showing any image from the digibox. All connections and cables have been tested and replaced. Interestingly, when I connected a laptop through the same HDMI-DVI path, it worked perfectly once but not at all when I tried again later.

    Questions:

    1. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with BeoVision 7 and HDMI–DVI connections?

    2. If I end up trying a different digibox:
Which digibox would be the best option for compatibility and usability with BeoVision 7 and the Beo4 remote?
      – Ideally something with proper IR support and basic PUC control if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help or ideas — much appreciated!

I know this isn’t the best solution as such, but keep an eye out for a BV7-mk5. I’ve had the BV7 32″ non-hdmi, the mk4 40″ non-hdmi and currently have a mk5 40″ with hdmi and blueray and it’s superb! You won’t miss your old BV once you’ve seen the faster smoother image on the mk5.
