I have not been able to figure this out so in case anyone knows – would the motorised floor stand item 1404111 for a BV7-40 also work with a BV7-32? Is the bracket the same size?

No. The 7-40 bracket (the bit that actually supports the TV) is much wider – you can see that it has levers going into each of the two support poles.
The BV6-26 brackets will support the BV7-32 (but won’t necessarily have the bracket mount below the TV for a Beolab).
