Gab KanBRONZE MemberHi,
I just bought a BV 10-32 (Type 9541) in an auction and to my disappointment I cannot manage to get image feed from the HDMI connections.
I have never had a BV before so I am new to the setup. But I have read up as much as possible without success.
Please help if you have experience or a clue of how to resolve this issue. The screen seems to work, I can see the back light turning on and the B&O greeting when turning on the tv, the menu is visible and so are the names of the sources when changing source.
This far I have tried all 3 HDMI connections, with both my Tele2 dongle, a chrome cast unit from a Swedish television provider and my computer (Mac).
I tried setting both the computer and the dongle up as PC. I tried various other sources (dvd, v.mem, dtv) for both of them. The only difference I noticed was that I didn’t get “static” from TV-source, when the dongle was plugged in.
The Mac does not detect the TV being connected as speaker or screen when connected though a HDMI cable.
My family is really happy with the beautiful TV and we would be grateful if we could keep it :•)
Any suggestions?

In the BV7 or BV8 you would go to Menu, then Connections, then select one of the available AVs from the list. Once selected, you would choose which source that connection would respond to (V.Mem, PC, DVD and so on), and which HDMI socket it would use. Press OK/Play to save it, and it should work.

BRONZE MemberHi,
This is how the menu is on my 10-40.
Turn on TV: Beo4 TV
Beo4: MENU
Beo4: MENU (press again within few seconds)
This gives a menu with 4 options.
Choose ‘øvrige muligheder’ (other options)
Choose ’tilslutning’ (connections)
This is where you ‘map’ a AV socket (e.g. a HDMI input) to a source button on the Beo4.
I have AV1 mapped to DTV
AV2 mapped to V.MEM
AV3 to DVD
So… Those 3 buttons on the Beo4 now select either of the 3 HDMI inputs.
Hope it helps.
16 November 2025 at 21:31 #71295 GuyModeratorAll the relevant BV10 documentation is available from B&O in various languages here: https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041518732-Beovision-10
Make sure you follow the instructions in the ‘Connections’ sections, and hopefully all will become clear!

Thank you for your reply and thorough instructions. What you describe is exactly what I have done. I tried different source buttons/list items and no luck 🙁

16 November 2025 at 22:16 #71299 Gab KanBRONZE MemberI just wanted to add that I tried the HDMI cable with another device and it is working fine.

BRONZE MemberStrange.
I don’t know if this can help somehow. I assume these are the correct ‘terms’ in English. My GUI is DK.
Under
Menu, menu, other options, connections, AV1 …. I got:
Source: DTV
Name: ……
IR: None
HDMI: A
S/P-DIF: None
One more thing… Long shot.
Under
Menu, setup (4), other options, HDMI
HDCP: On
Pressing DTV changes to HDMI socket ‘A’ where I got a gen 2 Chromecast connected.
Try power cycle the TV. Remove from mains in 10 mins.

BRONZE MemberAnd another option… Try at own risk. Personally I never did such a reset. Others might know if this is a good idea.
Press:
TV
Menu, menu
You now got the menu with 4 options.
Press
Menu, 0, 0, GO (you need to be pretty quick)
This will take you to the ‘hidden’ service menu.
You can enter a menu item with ‘GO’ and leave with ‘STOP’ (on my non-joystick Beo4).
Under ‘settings’ there is the option to ‘reset all features’. Other who have tried can explain the consequences. I assume this will reset to factory settings.
