      Hi B&O Dreamers,

I have a setup (see below) including a Beosound Core as end piece to a TV via an Optical cable, but no sound comes out of the BL18 speakers. Any ideas how to make it work?
I tried to change the source on the B&O Mobile App to Optical-In and still no sound.

      [BL 18] via WiSA << Transmitter 1 >> [BL 18] via WiSA

Did you set the sound of the tv to PCM/stereo – and to output from Toslink – in the settings there.

        Please be aware!
Depending on the tv brand this might be named differently in the settings.

In my case, I connected the SONY TV to the Transmitter 1 and the TV automatically switches to Optical output and plays sound. Using Transmitter 1 is not option because I could not lower the minimum volume which is too high. The Optical out min volume could not be lower by the TV too.
But if I switch to the Beosound Core, no sound comes out.

The Beosound Core actually has only Optical-Out port.

                Isn’t it optical INPUT?

Sure – that is the combined analog/digital input port, that is available on many ASE-based devices.

Just to prove that Paul Jordan was wrong ? about the BS Core.
