BRONZE MemberHello,
I would appreciate if someone could steer me to the correct adapter (female) to go on the male connector (on top of the Beosound 8) attached to a lightening connection to connect to my iphone 13. The existing male connector on the Beosound 8 was for my iphone 4/5/6. I am confused as to which the existing connector is on the Beosound 8, as I am being given conflicting information that it is a 20 pin or a 30 pin. If anyone can advise me please ? Better still provide a link to the correct adaptor would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Best Clive.

GOLD MemberThe older Apple connector for iPod, iPhone and iPad was a 30pin connector, so that would be what you should look for. I have never heard of a 20pin connector for those devices

The dongle type, MD824ZM/A is floppy ugly but should work too. A little finicky getting the unit to turn on if the phone has a completely discharged battery, so I put mine on a B&W Zeppelin instead. Now I use a 2xRCA–>3.5mm stereo adapter, from which the Beosound 8 auto-senses the audio. Then I punted the phone and hooked up a WiiM Mini instead!

BRONZE MemberHello Madskp, thank your for your prompt reply. Appreciated. I originally thought it was 30 pin but then read on this site (BeoWorld !) that it was a 20 pin which then confused me. Hence my post ! Thank you for confirming 30 pin. Best Clive.

BRONZE MemberHello trackbeo, Thank you too for a prompt reply. I will look for the original apple adaptor. Appreciate that you provided the reference number.
Unfortunately you are talking to a complete dullard (me) so I will have a go at the options you lay out in your response and see how I go…… Best, Clive.
