BRONZE MemberI am researching a bit about the BeoLink PC2 (BeoPort) and was wondering which client software is best for the user experience, the BeoPort or BM-Link?
(BeoPort is for Windows and BM-Link for Mac but I could repurpose either so that is not a deciding factor)- On a BeoSound 9000, is metadata show from N.RADIO and N.MUSIC and if so which shows most BeoPort or BM-Link? What would be shown? (My BS9000 mk2 is upgraded to latest sw 2.21a)
- What is the latest version of MacOS BM-Link can be installed on?
- What is the latest version of Windows BeoPort can be installed on?
- Where can i safely download the latest versions of BM-Link and BeoPort and what are the latest versions that work?

Beoport latest version for PC is Version 5.04.00.0031 – I downloaded from here: https://beoport.software.informer.com/download/
I have run it on Win 7 (32 bit), Win 10 (32 bit) and now it is running fine on on Win 11 (64 bit). There is a small problem with Radio stations, in that the PC audio system ‘mutes’ when changing internet radio station.
Hopefully someone can help with the other questions – there is a Beoport/Mac thread here: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/playing-with-blink-pc2-and-beoport/

GOLD MemberRegarding BM-Link. The official website for the project is this http://www.odlund.se/bmlink/download.html
Newest release was developed for OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, so might be hit and miss how much newer version it will work on.
I do not think that either the official Beoport software or BM link will show metadata. There was another project called Link player that maybe did show some metadata on some systems, but you might have to research that further searching on the archived forums. I believe there are threads about it on both of the two archived forums.
Linkplayer was, I believe developed as a paid software, so you would need a license key to make it work today, and that might also only work on older version of Mac OS.
For both BM-Link and Linkplayer they are using iTunes as the internal player on the Mac.
