I recently inherited an older BeoPlay V1 40″ and I am trying to figure, how/if I can get this to work in a surround setup with my already owned BeoSound Mozart speakers.
I looked through the forums, but didn’t find good answers, thus it seems like the forums from 2012-22 is out of service?
I know, I can get BeoLabs and connect with PowerLink directly, but would rather not get new speakers out of aesthetic choices.
I am hoping some in here might have some suggestions on how to do this most affordably with my current products! 🙂
This is what I got:
BeoPlay 1
4 x BeoSound Emerge
2 x BeoSound Level
2 x BeoSound A5
1 x BeoSound A9
In my research I’ve already stumbled upon some options, but I don’t know if any is feasible.
Option 1: Connect BeoSound speakers directly with PowerLink to the TV -> Can this even be done?
Option 2: Use BeoConnect Core as middle layer between BeoSound speakers and TV -> can latency be an issue?
Option 3: Use third party decoder, like Almando (Almando Decoder)
PS. not sure if this post should go to the BeoPlay forum instead, but since BeoPlay V1 is in line with the BeoVision V10, I thought this might make sense to put here – but I am new, so please enlighten me! 🙂
