kallasrBRONZE MemberI got the idea of integrating the Beomaster to my setup using the TV‘s Beolab 7-2 center speaker.
Unfortunately there is no sound coming out of the speaker.
The Beomaster 7000 (sw 1.0) is connected via AUX to the 1611.
The 1611 (sw 1.3) ist connected via Masterlink to the TV.
Beomaster audio opt 0, BeoVision video opt 2.The Beomaster turns on when pressing RADIO, CD etc. but no sound.
Changing radio stations works just fine – except for the missing sound 😉We assume the datalink cable (7 pins) works (Beomaster turns on etc.), the Masterlink cable works as well – tested it with a Beosound Ouverture connected to the TV just to make sure it is working.
What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards

I assume that you have also tried powering everything down, disconnecting, reconnecting, re-powering and then re-setting A.OPT 0 and V OPT 2. Maybe also check that the BL1611 is receiving power (in UK I would check the fuse in the plug).
Make sure that you are connecting the TV/AUX socket of the BM7000 (next to the LINE IN/OUT blank) to the correct AAL socket of the BL1611.
Running the Product Configuration Guide states that you should also add a Powerlink Cable between BM7000 and the 1611 converter, so perhaps the BM7000 needs this additional connection to unmute the sound. Worth a try!

kallasrBRONZE MemberHello Guy,
thanks for replying.
Basically I have done as suggested (no powerlink cable needed, only if you want to control the BM manually, at least that is what I read somewhere).
BUT
You made me check the cables, again.
Even though the Datalink cable I used started the TV/the radio, maybe not all the wires are correct?
I found another cable in the B&O stuff box, with 5 pins on one end and 7 pins on the other end.
From the cable I used before I could unscrew two of the little pins and put them on the other cable I found so it had 7 pins at both ends.AND
the cable works!
Thanks a lot.
Best regards
RalfPS: Next project will be using the BeoVision 11 and a BLC ML/NL with the Beomaster 7000/1611 combo…
