beomaster 3500 4500 display issue

Hello all, got an odd one and hoping the community could help me out.

I have a Beomaster 3500 BM3500 with an issue on the 4×7 red display. part number in the manual is 8300244. the first digit doesn’t not display at all and the second digit, only the top half displays. I can see it changes with volume or station, but display isn’t complete.

Any thoughts on what this could be?

been through it and re-flowed a few including all of the display and a few from 6IC3 but no change.

I have managed to ascertain exactly which segments are not working. all working apart from the second array. working lines only, shown below.
