    Hi

I have recently acquired a used Beomaster 1000 with white keys and germanium transistors. I had no chance to look under the hood before purchasing, but all the functions seemed to work as expected.

The only problem is an electric buzz from the left speaker. Right speaker is fine. Today I have inspected the internals and found out that someone replaced the power transformer with a rewound SABA in quite a crude way. All the wiring was messy and one of the mains wires was stuck in the speaker selector switch. I cleaned up the wiring according to reference pictures from the internet and the buzz got much quieter but still not as quiet as the other channel. The new transformer itself seems to be quite high quality, cold and quiet.

The buzz is coming from the Beomaster itself as it stays the same with no input and volume all the way down.

Really want to hear your opinions, guys, on where should I investigate further. Thanks in advance!
