BRONZE MemberHey everyone,
I’m planning to renovate a pair of Beolab 8000 MK1 speakers. From what I understand, I’ll likely need to replace the internal foam damping material since the original foam tends to deteriorate over time.
Does anyone know the technical specifications of the original foam that Bang & Olufsen used?
- Foam type/material
- Density
- Thickness
My idea was to buy a larger foam sheet and cut the pieces myself instead of buying the pre-cut replacement kits, since those seem fairly expensive.
Also, does anyone happen to have:
- Templates or blueprints for the different foam pieces?
- Measurements or diagrams for the internal foam layout?
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated 🙂
