SILVER MemberHi.
I have a pair of Beolab 4000s, Mk I with the power switch on the front. The speakers work and play very nicely, but one of the two gives a somewhat disturbing loudish high pop/click when it turns from on to standby. This seems to vary on how long the speaker has been powered on, and sometimes it behaves just fine and it’s just the relay click as it should.
I haven’t yet tried swapping the powerlink cables, but I presume these were new cables I used.
I was wondering if this is a known problem? Could it be something “as simple” as the stand-by power relay having bad contacts?
While these are Mk I, I have peeked under the tweeter that these have the later white foam inside and not the bad black stuff!
