      Hi alls,

I have a lid Id like to repair but I dont know how. Maybe you’ll have some suggestions?

The right hinge is broken (at the orange marks). I’ve glued it and it has work for some time but broke again under the spring pressure. I’ve glued it again but it will break again I believe.
Id’ like to make this stronger but I dont know how. I’ve thought to a thin metal piece around the slope but glued? With what. Or maybe it’s just a matter of right glue? I’ve used cyano. I’ve read about chloroform to “weld” the plexiglass but I dont know if it applies to our lids.

Well any suggestion would be welcome.

      Thanks.

Drill through the breaks and glue in steel pins.

            Hi alls,

As Martin said, I drilled holes through the breaks (1mm), slipped sewing needles soaked in cyano glue and let it rest overnight, then cut the needles.

Sad the deck is useless, but at least it makes me practices things like that.

            Hope this helps.

A very practical and sensible job. Well done.
