I just got a 1202 and the teeth on the spindle are very badly worn and it doesn’t engage with the arm mechanism. I am trying to remove the spindle but it seems to beheld in place by rivets! Any ideas on how to remove it? and where I might get a new gearing from???

You are right, the spindle is held by a rivet and only to remove with some pulling on the rivet
I’ve a complete spindle / hub in my workshop, all teeth are ok, rivet is attached send me a pm.
Kind regards
Christian

Knock out the small steel pin that goes through the gear, then the hub with spindle etc. can be lifted up.
