BRONZE MemberHi everyone,
I have just joined Beoworld and this is my first post, so please be gentle with me…
Recently acquired a Beogram 1200 and am trying to restore it. I bought a new belt and stripped and lubed the motor, which was a bit stiff.
It then operated correctly on 33, but when I change speed from 33 to 45, or 0 (rest) and back to 33, the 45 works but the 33 setting just gives a weak half turn then stops. I presume the selector linkage needs service, but I m a bit befuddled by the complicated set of levers and springs and don’t want to lube the wrong bit or cause damage. Anyone got any advice?
Also is there a knack to fitting the drive belt? It’s a real pain trying to loop it blindly over the drive pulley and the platter rim at the same time..
Many thanks in advance,
Michael
