I have 2 Beogram 1000’s that appear to be seized. The sintered bearings have green deposits and these haven’t been used for decades. As a result, I have test ordered a new set of bearings to see if these motors can be recovered or whether they are writeoffs.
My main question is that I have seen a posting in the archive forum in regards the resistance of the windings. According to the post, it is stated that the motor in good condition has coils that read as 222 ohms, with a deviation between them of no more than 5%.
The readings of my motors are ..
Motor 1: 210.6 ohm and 217.4 ohm
Motor 2: 211.8 ohm and 214,8 ohm
I calculate the deviation between coils to be within tolerence, but the base readings seem to be low ?. Could anyone please advise as to whether this is an issue or whether the motors should be ok with new bearings fitted to the motors ?
I’m sorry if this appears to be an amateur question and hope someone could please give me some input on this question.
