BRONZE MemberSo im working on a beocom 2, seems like an early mk2, production date 040414 and sw Version 0049-1.5-1
I want to get it into registration mode so it pairs with a base Station. Using 9#9#9* INT brings me into the service menu, but all i can see is the sw version and delete phonebook etc. Also tried disconnecting the battery, but that also did not help.
Is there any option to reset it?
Best regards

BRONZE MemberUnfortunately there is no such option. Setup menu Looks like this
– Ringer Level
– Time & Date
– Display News
– Auto offhook
– Language
– Flash Time?
– Resettings
– Delete Caller ID
– Delete Phonebook

ModeratorThe format of your date and SW version makes me think that this is an early, original Mk1 Beocom 2 that will only register to its own original base (that was built into the charger base).
Have a read of this thread which sounds like a similar problem: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/23438.aspx
Some Beocom 2 Mk1s were modified by dealers so that they could be registered to other bases. I think that this was just a SW change.
When I check my Beocom 2 Mk2, the SW version simply says: ‘Ver 1.2‘ with (on the next line) the date ‘May 8 2006‘. Production date is further down the list and states: ‘Sep 22 2008‘. ‘Reset base’ is also one of the available options.
It could be worth asking a dealer if they still have the equipment to update the SW.

BRONZE MemberI also start thinking that its somehow hard coded to a base. But it came with a charger only, no base with a phone cable. Also, it has the newer battery clamp, completely different to my MK1 i have here. Maybe i can find a dealer who can help.

ModeratorMy own Mk2 is a mixture of parts from a Mk1 and Mk2, both bought ‘not working for spares’. I wouldn’t read too much into the battery clamp and base that it came with. I think the SW version is probably the best indicator of the actual type.

BRONZE MemberYou think a mk2 board would fit into it if my dealer cannot help?

Yes. If you have a look at this thread you will seen where I mixed and matched parts, eventually putting the Mk2 innards in the Mk1 case: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/beocom-2-repair/
