Hi. I have a beocenter 7700 that I’d changed all the cassette belts on – then let it sit for 9 months. Now the tape player plays at half speed. I’ve also noticed that the motor is always running – even if the radio is playing. Also (sorry there’s a few) the belt on the smaller wheel underneath the tape deck seems to be rubbing on the large aluminium wheel. That doesn’t seem right. Any ideas?
Thanks

9 October 2022 at 00:09 #26485it seems to be that the pads that hold each spindle (that fit into the casette) aren’t being released so are providing pressure hence the slow speed. Trying to track down what releases those pads – any idea if both spindles get released upon play?
Thank
