Because you’re running this morning beta, and the triangle was added to this afternoon’s beta ?
Go to TestFlight to get the latest version.

    What are ‘non essential inputs’?

Seeing the remaining inputs, I’d say that approximately all inputs were non essential to the eyes of the UX designers ?

    Sorry, I am running the latest/the second beta – Version: 5.4.0 (5.4.0.23092044593)
    Here is another screenshot.

By the way, I can activate the ATV (which was the last activated source yesterday) using the play button and I can move the cursor there using left/right.
No option for up/down – no option for standby – no option (the still missing arrow/triangle) for activating any other source of the BST.

This makes it pretty much useless.

In his post on the previous page Thomas/Mr Andersen calls them “sources with a non-deterministic outcome“……whatever he means by that ?

Non essential inputs is just my personal translation and kind of stuck in my brain while posting. however i got it from mr.Andersons 2nd bullet point:

“The source list was groomed too much, we just released a fix an hour ago for this. Some will not come back, for example Deezer. It only worked if Deezer had just been playing. In general, sources with a non-deterministic outcome will be removed.”

But as I said in my other post, I can’t imagine why the groomed it this exact way. I use the TV input a lot, since the soundbar itself is keen on saying “f it, you changed HDMI input on your TV so now I don’t know what to do” resulting in me having to change the speaker output to TV speaker, and than to the Beosound Theatre. (it is connected through HDMI E-ARC, on Samsung though)

Anyone else notice the warped play pause button? (reverted back to normal now?)

I’m glad to see that B&O is listening to feedback. There really needs to be the full TV remote menu in the app for the Beosound Theatre. Sometimes the Theatre loses connection with the Beoremote One. In such instances we need some way to control navigation on the tv.

Yes mine was okey for some time, but it did happen again, I will try to recreate it in a way that it can be reproduced.

Got it right now again, so that’s at least the 3th time in 2 days.

    Hello Beoworlders,

Well, this update is really un-user friendly.

Especially when your setup mixes ML and NL products as the source selector is reduced to the utmost minimum.

So I wish to roll back to the pevious version.

    But how to do?

    Have a nice sunday,

    Yann.

    I did that too!

Up untill now the beta versions were fine to have running on my main iPad.
    But not anymore.
This beta is absolutely unworkable in my setup (with a NL/ML Converter in the mix – for my 6500 CD player/6500 Master – and several ASE-based devices plus the BST).

Could it be that the app team has only the new Mozart-based devices in mind and that the app is only tested on mobile phones?
    Would be rather sad ?

    P.S.
Still have the beta running on another iPad here….just to see how it evolves.

    MM,

I can see that our setups are very close and I hope that legacy products will not be neglected in the future.

So, at least the source arrow show up on my iPad too.
However, this is how it looks (read: this is my only option on my M5……if there was anything connected there – not even the option to turn off the device/all can be found there).

    IMG_0027

And this is the same with a pre 5.4.0 beta version

    IMG_0687
I can access what is in my setup from there ?
Please notice that there is more in that menu than what the screenshot shows —— I can swich to the Spotify app directly from there and I can turn off the device/all from there.

Sorry, beta team – I can’t use the new beta ?

This is how it looks for my Theatre.

Sure, I did not expect to see any linked sources there (I wonder if that will ever come with a Mozart product?)

    IMG_0032

I see lots of what I do not need there.
Why display the internal HDMI’, which I do not use?
Let me pick what I should see there – and the order.
Apart from the tv-tuner, I do not use the internal LG sources – why do the LG Channels or the Media Player etc show up there?

Here is how it looked previously.

    IMG_0688

Admitted not well thought through either (I do not use YouSee Play), but still more like how I use the BST….including Spotify Connect, B&O Radio and Standby (which does not show in that screenshot).

    P.S.
A similar comparison with new/old app for my V1 tv is even worse ?

Is my use case so far off from what the betateam tests?

    MM,

I agree with you on the missing linked sources.

In the previous versions, these sources were also missing in the Theatre but were available in the Core’s sources list.

For the unused source, we need at least a way to reorganize the list in order to place them at the end.

Missing linked sources in the BST is not an app issue, but a software choice for all Mozart-based……so it seems.

When B&O talk about keeping legacy products alive, they also should realize that – at least – some of us want to have these integrated with/connected with the new products.

But that is not for the app team to decide.

    Hello Beoworlders,

A new version has been released a few days ago but did not dare to download it.

    Did you notice any improvement?

    Kind regards,

    Yann.
