Avant 55 table mount stand. Speaker motor working but speakers not moving

Some free movement in speaker ends. White cable loop hanging in front of both speaker ends. I assume the cable have become disconnected from the drive. Is how would I access the speaker internals to see if the cable can be would back on or if the cables need replacing. Many thanks for any help.
