    Hi,

I have a very nice Beocenter 9500 that came into my possession for free many tears ago and has been a sturdy and reliable unit that I have tried to look after.

Unfortunately, last night a heavy item fell iff a shelf near the B&O and landed on top if it, it hut the top edge of the upper glass facia and shattered it. It’s still in situ at the moment byt us broken in to 2 pieces and has starred out from the impact point very badly.

As a temporary measure I am thinking of  carefully removing it and replacing it with a piece of smoked acrylic, but I’d like to pursue replacing it.

I am pretty sure the top glass doesn’t have any touch-sensitive elements so it might be feasible to use normal glass with a matt-black backing mask, but I think it has several labels on it.

I imagine spare parts are going to be like rocking horse doo-doo.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion but they don’t seem to have any of those glass plates in stock, sadly.

I am not sure whether it helps, but be aware that you can also use a panel from BC8000, 8500, 9000, 9300.  However, you need to be aware that the control panel markings are different:

Beocenter 9000 panels (and those for the 9300 and 9500) have a “TIMER” indication on the control panel glass.

Beocenter 8000 panels (and those for the 8500) do not have this “TIMER” marking.

You may be best looking for a complete ‘spares or repair’ Beocenter – then you will have lots of other spares for future problems!

(I used Google AI to get this summary – but am 99% sure that it is correct based upon my previous research!)
