BRONZE MemberHello everyone,
I own a Beovision 10 for 15 years now and used it together with a Technisat Receiver (S2). The Beovision is connected to a Beosound 3000 via Masterlink. Everything worked flawlessly. I was able to start the Radio / CD on the Beosound 3000 by pressing on RADIO / CD on the BEO4 with sound over Beovsion 10. I could also control the Technisat S2 via PUC with my BEO4 (non Joystick version).
A few weeks ago I replaced the the Technisat S2 with a Techisat DIGI ISIO S4 and the problems began.
The first problem was that I was not able to control the new Technisat with BEO4. My dealer did some research, updated the firmware and added additional PUC lists. One of them together with the Joystick BEO4 solved this problem.
My second problem now is that when I press on RADIO on my BEO4 in the morning, nothing happens. The status LED on the Beovison 10 stays on red, the Beosound does not start. The system seems to be frozen for about a minute before other commands get executed (e.g when I start the TV right after pressing RADIO).
When I start the TV first, let it run for a few minutes, switch it off, wait until the status LED goes to red and then press RADIO, the Beosound gets activated and the RADIO on the Beosound is working (as expected).
When I first disconnect the TV from power supply in the morning, the RADIO works immediately.
As soon as the TV is working for a while, I can switch between TV and RADIO without problems, but the TV is not shutting down and shows alternately colored screens (should be black and has been black in former times).
So, it seems when the Beovision is not in use for several hours (over night), it is not able to activate the Masterlink connection and to activate the Beosound. It is obviousely recognizing the RADIO command (it is frozen for a minute or so) but is not able to execute it for any reason. A system reset (power supply disconnect) is solving the issue as well.
The Beovision standby and the Technisat standby is deactivated. In the connection menu standby is set to ‘never’ to avoid issues but this might be counterproductive.
The V.Option and A.Option are set correctly, otherwise it would not work at all.
I’ve no idea why all this started with just changing the receiver which should not have an impact on the Masterlink functionality at all.
Just to mention it: The Receiver is connected by HDMI and SCART (as the older model was). As far as I can remember the dealer told me this is necessary to wake up the receiver when pressing on TV. No idea whether this is still necessary or even is causing any problems.
Sorry for the long post but wanted to describe the issue as detailed as possible.
My dealer prefers to sell me a new TV (what I can understand) but I’m still pretty happy with my setup.
I am grateful for any advice.
Best Regards
