Qualcuno mi può aiutare ? mi è stato regalato e l’ho bruciato senza nemmeno aver potuto ascoltarlo.

I was given a beocenter 9000 that was dusty, I plugged it into the power outlet and felt it was working but the leds were off. I disassembled it to clean it but I turned the 110v knob… when reconnecting it to the socket (220v) Ismelled like burning. Now he’s completely dead without having the chance to hear it! Can someonehelp me resuscitate him?

I live in north Italy near Switzerland, I tried to take it for service but they don’t fix it because they say the damage is too much.

You need to take it to a repairer who is happy to diagnose the exact fault(s) and then source replacement parts from the second hand market.

Parts like this are available quite cheaply:  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256722933645

You may well just have blown the fuses on the board shown, but the ‘over voltage’ may well have damaged additional components downstream of the transformer.  This is why you need a competent repairer to diagnose the damage properly.

the problem here in Italy is finding the competent people. The mentality is to cross and not repair. That’s why I asked for help. I am not capable and I don’t know anyone who can solve it. I got it in a B&O center near Milan… And I took it up again uncovered with irreparable writing. I was also looking for the same used Beocenter 9000… Because in addition to the speakers, I have the Beogram 9000. I wish I could listen to the tha sound of the late 80’s again!

As mentioned above, parts are usually no problem.
What is needed here is a good repairshop or a skilled DIY/hobby-repairer.
There must be some in northern Italy.
