We inherited an old beosystem2500 from a family member, and a beo 1000 remote. We are using the aux port to stream music to it, and I cannot find where/how to program a button to select AUX as a source. No info is in the manual so I figured I’d post and ask.

      thank you in advance!

The PHONO button on the Beolink 1000 should activate the AUX source

          Or press SHIFT then RADIO

(but I agree that PHONO should work too 😀)

Phono button activates the phono input. It is shift and then radio, not shift and radio at the same time.

This was it. In succession not at the same time.

any way to turn off the lights in the back while it’s on?

also – any idea if the unit has a sleep timer?

thank you again for the help

While it says phono in the display it is the AUX connection it is activating. So this is by far the easiest way
You can also press shift and the A.Tape. The it will show Tape2.

Yes, that’s what I said! 😀 (but as madskp says, PHONO is just one button press hence easier if you are happy for PHONO to show in the display)

any way to turn off the lights in the back while it’s on?

                  No

any idea if the unit has a sleep timer?

Yes but only whilst playing RADIO.  Press STOP until the required number of minutes shows in the display.
