I just bought a Beolink Passive for use with my Beosound 4, and it came with an ML cable connected by an ML junction box – it has a total or 3 ML plugs coming from it.
I don’t think the connections are working though – two of the ML plugs work fine but one does not. When I first connected it I got a nothing but earth hum. I disconnected it, took a look inside (very crowded and messy in there!), reconnected it and there is no more earth hum, but one of the 3 plugs doesn’t create any connection.
I’m guessing I’ll need to re-wire it, but is there anything I need to know? There seems to be more than one unshielded (ground?) wire for example, and some of the colour coded things inside the junction box appear to be the same colour (although I am colourblind so not the best judge!). Any advice before I make a start would be much appreciated.
