  • Re: Beogram 5005 repair in Glasgow

Hi I’m based near Stirling and I remember asking Euan at B&O Glasgow if there was just such a person up here and he said not to his knowledge. Pretty sure Jim,who is their repair guy, doesn’t work with the Beograms at all. I think it’s a case of safe packing to folk like yourself south of the border.

  • Latest update to app on iPhone and I pad

Hello all,ive just updated the app on my above products. Unfortunately the long awaited speaker group function doesn’t seem to work..has anyone else the same problem? I have emailed support to alert them to this from my perspective. It’s a shame as I’ve waited for this carry over from the old before more app for a long time!

Hi thanks for the update..glad that’s it’s not just me experiencing the problem. I have a BV 11-40 with dual DVB/SAT tuners and HDD. Great TV so was really chuffed that they had at last brought that facility from the old Beo app to the new one....hoping for a speedy solution.

  • Re: What is this?

A clever piece of engineering, but when it’s closed I feel it needs the moving elements to be the width of the screen so that it is actually hiding a good portion of it..seems very topsy turvy with the panels much narrower but taller...more like someone is attempting to cover up the tv but hasn’t got anything big enough to do so.

  • Re: Official Dealers and selling on eBay...

Stirling and Perth had dealers long ago but they closed around 10 years ago. So unless you live near Aberdeen the Glashow shop is your only dealer and they have added so many new brands presumably to keep business turning over....for a good while yet one hopes, even though I haven’t bought new in a long while as nothing new really appeals and I have what I need in my home.

  • Re: Official Dealers and selling on eBay...

That’s my local dealer and they have had to diversify massively.....brand wise. B&O really seem to be losing the plot from the top down in marketing terms. I rarely,if ever, buy new myself...the cost versus reliability and service is too heavily loaded in the wrong direction. Im Lucky my dealer has a fab service guy who has done great work for me...hope he never retires!!

  • Re: Beosystem 7000 vs. Beocenter 9500

Possibly worth remembering that the 9500 has built in pre amp should you have a Beogram to connect whereas the 7000 doesn’t.

  • Re: beolab 3

Hi,I may have been lucky in that, though the mk 1 parts aren't available any more, our local B&O repair guy here in Scotland managed to effect a repair-I can't remember the exact details.tho chassis was certainly part of the process...he said it had a been a useful learning process for him, and somewhat convoluted to boot..?! Anyway it was a modest £250 cost all in ,which I thought was pretty good.I am listening to music through my system as I type and its good to have all the speakers
