  • Re: BV5 and V8000 video recorder

Just a thought - do I need to tune the video to have the exact same channels as the beovision in order to record on a timer? I was under the impression this is not necessary as the V8000 just uses the TV channels programmed into the BV5.. provided you select the TV as 'souce' and choose your channel to be recorded?

Hi Millemissen and thanks for the reply. I'm fairly certain I have chosen TV as the 'source' and selected the channel in question to be recorded a number of times all resulting in black screens, which as you say, must be because the V8000 is recording from its own tuner rather than from the BV5.. Perhaps I have the scart cable in the wrong socket at the back of the V8000? There are 2 options: Video tape Decoder OR AV? The BV5 is easy - there is only 1 scart socket for Video.

  • BV5 and V8000 video recorder

Afternoon gents, I recently purchased a tremendous BV5 for my mother from Lee at Lifestyle and had it shipped to Denmark where she lives (of all places!) She is old school and likes to record her favourite programmes on TV (previously had an Avant with video) I installed the BV5 fine, hooked it up to her BC2, Lab6000s, V8000 video, bedroom BV6 and 2 link speakers in other rooms. All works fine - except the video recording: I can get it to record the channel that is being watched on the BV5 manually

  • Connecting PC to a BV5 possible?

Hi all, Have not posted for a while but am stuck with the above question. Is it possible for me to connect a laptop (for playing films) to the Aux Camcorder jacks on the left hand side of a BV5? I have previously connected a camcorder and that is all fine, but what hardware/software do I need to get the laptop screen up on the BV5 if at all possible? or is there another route I should follow in order to connect the PC? Many thanks all,
