  • BeoLab14 Options...

I am wondering just how far one could stretch this system in a current B&O system set up. For example, If I plugged it into my BV11, could you use 2 of the satellite speakers for the rear surround with my Lab 9's and the BV11 speakers providing centre, left, right and sub creating a 5.1 set-up. Then could you place the left over BL-Sub AND 2 of the other satellite speakers in a completely different room for another 2.1 audio set-up. All of this managed by the B&O app and incorporating

Now that I have some space around the TV, and courtesy of some new Ikea furniture, the setup is now much more as I want it. The BoeLab9's sound much better with some breathing space around them and toed out a foot or so from the wall. Listening to a decent piano piece this evening, eyes closed, I was hard pressed to hear 'speakers' the tone was so good, it was like the piano was in the room. For me, that's what it's all about. I think I need to go through a lot of my CD's

  • Re: Beovision 11 and Apple Tv questions

Hi there, I have BV11 with Apple TV built in and have only been able to access Apple TV using the 'source list' which is a little untidy. I like the Apple Radio function through the BV11, but prefer to set it through my Lab9 instead. I think if your room isn't too big the speakers on the BV11 will be OK, but always nicer with proper placed audio speakers. As an idea though, if you have the BV11 on a network, I find the BeoRemote application very good and you can then easily get the Apple

  • Re: BeoPlay A3 "review"

Considering that B&O are hoping that the Play brand is going to bring their products more to the masses it's surprising just how little has been said about this device. When I got mine I really didn't know where it was going to fit in my life. A few months on and after a day sick at home I thought I would add some of my own personal observations. First of all, despite the added weight, I readily throw the whole think in my back-pack to take to work with me at the weekends. Nothing else

OMG - just been re-listening to Pro alios curantibus by Howard Goodall on the Lab9's and what a wonderful room filling sound they made. The chorus is so beautifully detailed and the solo violin just gently suspended in the air, somewhere just above the fish-tank actually - go figure. Must be those acoustic lenses in action....

I have to admit that I have now added Cheryl Bentyne to my Amazon wish list! She has a voice like creme caramel, you can just sink into it. Lovely

Thanks John, Had to add it to the remote, but it does just what I was after. I listen to a fair bit of classical and instrumental work and there's only so many times I feel I need a set of lions scrolling across the screen at such times!

G'day Michael, This is my first big foray into B&O having only had telephony with them previously, and I certainly am enjoying it very much. There's a lot of the old chestnut of rediscovering music going on in my house. The BV11 also replaced a 46' Samsung Series 9 LCD from about 5 years ago which had micro-dimming full array LED and I thought still produced a great picture. Compared with the new 55' panel, it generally doesn't even come close, although the BV11 is weaker
