Thanks for the link, seems I should go searching for some cracked solder joints :)

Re: Beocord 8004: belt climbs on pulley?
Thanks for the confidence boost, Daniel! You were right, that was an easy enough task :) Sadly nothing about the two belts or their placement seemed peculiar or out of place so I guess I'll have to take it back to the technician. So there went my plan of making some mixtapes during the holidays.

Beocord 8004: belt climbs on pulley?
Hi, After getting my Beocord 8004 back from service I've had instances when pressing play causes the head to engage for a second and then release. The technician said this was caused by the belt climbing on the pulley, possibly because there still was residue from the old belt still on the pulley or due to the belt being too tight. Now this has happened again which raises two questions: is opening the Becord and getting the belt back in place something for a ten thumbed simpleton as myself? could

Re: Which Beovox for a small room?
Bought a pair of S45 (6302) and got a Beomaster 1900 thrown in the deal. Really pleased with how well they sound together. Massive thanks for suggesting these speakers over the others on my shortlist! :)

Re: Which Beovox for a small room?
Brilliant, S45 it is then. Am I right in assuming both can be wall mounted, AS noen of the ones available here comes with stands. Cheers!

Which Beovox for a small room?
Hi Apologies if I should've posted this in the general forum or some other place. I'm in the process of setting up a listening post in the small room where I keep my records. The room is about 15 sqm (4,6 x 3,3 m) and the speakers will be connected to a BM5000 fed by a Beogram 8002. So far I've whittled the contenders down to S35, S45, S45-2, CX100 and C75. Which of these would be your first choice? As for the S45, there's a pair of 6302 available and from what I've read on here

Re: Beogram 4000/SMMC20CL+ -suddenly sounds like my tweeters are blown...
Thanks for the explanation, chartz! I cleaned it with a aceton dipped q-tip and gave it a couple of light knocks on a table. I don't know which of those did the trick, but one of them sure helped as everything is back to normal.

Yes, for sure. That was a pleasant surprise indeed. So now Britten's War Requiem is the soundtrack to me cleaning all my pickups while I'm at it.

Re: Beogram 4000/SMMC20CL+ -suddenly sounds like my tweeters are blown.
Hi chartz, I have carefully brushed the tip with a brush from a Bg8000, but to no avail. I could try cleaning it with some specialist product or acetone on a q-tip just so I can cross dirty tip off the list. Sad to say I don't even know what's implied by checking the tip with a thread counter :) Failed suspension is my main suspect as well. So I'm going to flick the housing with a finger, or tap it lightly against a table or something as my repairman told me this was the preferred action
