  • Re: Bang & Olufsen app 2.7

Hi A cafe I frequent has a beolab 35 high up on the wall, and the owner told me he has to climb up and manually alter the volume each day, which is unsafe and ticks him off. He has the app on his iPhone but says it doesn’t “work”....... Dumb question maybe, but can he control the 35 directly using his app on his phone via Bluetooth , or must the 35 be on a wifi network first? He appears to be able to stream music to it. Can you control a 35 using a Beo 4 remote?

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

You may have your speakers too close tot he wall - the BL3 manual suggests no closer than 30cm.... Nice set up though!

  • Re: Non polarised plugs for Beolab 3s?

Thanks everyone for their feedback. I did some more digging and it seems the reason polarized plugs are used is that it seems any allowed interference/hum/buzz generated within the electrics in the BL speaker is "disposed of" via the neutral connection which is usually floating close to ground potential. In Australia anyway, the single phase domestic neutral is usually earthed. As such, the "polarity" of the connection to the speaker is important. With AC there is no "polarity"

  • Non polarised plugs for Beolab 3s?

Hi i have some new beolab 3s that came with a polarised iec c7 socket in the back of them. Just wondering if I can use a standard non-polarised plug and if so does it matter which way it's plugged in? thanks/danke/tak/merci

  • Beolab 3s and setup

I have some BL3s but would like to ask about the finer points of operation and connectivity please.....they will be connected to a BV 8-32 via powerlink - Do I need to provide mains power filters to each BL3 to protect against power fluctuations? - Do I need to turn off the speakers when not in use or do I leave them powered on and will they auto switch on when they sense a signal? - Can I use any old figure 8 power plug or are the BL3s a special size? Any info appreciated, thanks/danke/merci/tak

  • Connectivity - BL3s, BV 8-32 and iphones

Hi I am looking at getting a set of BL3s to run off my BV 8-32 ( so I can enjoy movies better ;-) ) but also wondered if I could use the tv like a "switch" to either use the BL3s off the tv, or switch the tv picture off and connect an iphone to the tv to drive the speakers through the tv? Can I do this or do i need to buy a switch box for the BL3s to swap between input from the tv or iphone please? I use my tv to drive my existing analogue amp and the signal is a bit low, so not sure if

  • Using a Beovision beolab as a sound bar

Hi I was asked recenlty if I knew of a decent sound-bar manufacturer. It crossed my mind that perhaps a sound bar from a one of the older BV40s might be possible as a full frequency range sound bar. Is this possible or are all BV sound bars .1 mono speakers only? Thanks/Danke/Merci

  • Refoaming Beovox S45

Hi I have some old Beovox S45s ( Beocenter 7007 ) I'd like to try and re-foam myself. Can anyone suggest someone who sells B&O certified / compatible foam suspension for my speaker woofers please? Thanks!
