• B&O Multiroom

Hey everyone. I opened a new topic to have a general discussion about the coming Multiroom feature update for several products. Let me know your expectations, wishes and experiences (when it's finally here). -------------------------- To start it off: I've been trying MR for a while now and it works really great so far. I don't have that much use cases for it myself, but I could imagine that a lot of you guys already have lots of ideas how to use it with your setups at home. You can really

The camera is for (future) presence detection. So the Moment will wake up when you get close to it.

    - No Spotify as of yet. Probably Spotify Connect later down the road. - It is not a standard tablet per se (unless you know better). It is a single-purpose device and there comparison with an iPad doesn't make sense really. The Moment offers an experience that an iPad might not be able to. - Multiroom is launching with a sw update later this year and it's really nice. - You can connect a NAS as your music storage via DLNA.

  • Re: No Netflix app on a BV- why?
Then - why does Netflix run on other 'SmartTV Alliance' platforms like on the Philips tv's? MM
I guess that is because Philips' hardware and software platforms are compatible with the Netflix client while B&O's is not.
So actually to get Netflix requires no coding whatsoever the app has been around for years on other "Smart TV" alliance members' products, it's simply a case of B&O choosing to limit (severely) the apps we can access. To get an idea of what's are available, go to a big box retailer and play around with an LG, there's literally hundreds of apps - Hulu, Amazon instant video, Netflix, Crackle etc.
Quite the contrary. It requires

  • Re: BeoRemote One - availability??
The only question is if the INFO and GUIDE buttons will work for PUC-controlled devices. If so, the PUC tables of these TVs need an update by dealers.
No, they won't. Not on those "pre-Bsys4" TVs.
I wrote pre-BSys4 - and that is what I meant!!! It was part of the discussion, if the new PUC's could be used on those devices - and in this way benefit from some of the new buttons. You say, that they can't. That ends the discussion, and - as I wrote - probably no one would update them anyway...because of the costs. MM
Fair enough that you want to end the discussion here, I just tried to help :P I am just stating that V1 and BV11 have been released

  • Re: BeoRemote One - availability??
That is great news. But if those and the BeOne will be supported on pre-BSys4 devices, you would still have to have someone coming to do the PUC-update manually. MM
Why? Possibility for downloading PUC files from BeoPortal has been introduced with BeoPlay V1 and runs through BV11, BSys4 and now Avant. You probably mean Pre-Video Engine products (of which the last ones were BV10 and BSys3). These (to my knowledge) won't get a software update and won't
Not much sense in changing the PUC's for pre-BSys4 tv's in order to get the INFO/GUDE buttons working. Who wants to pay a BO technician to come for changing the PUCs (that is too expensive, imo).
All of the video products that are based on the Video Engine will receive an update to support the new PUC system that amongst other things supports the INFO and GUIDE buttons. Those new PUCs are available online, so no need to have a technician come
