  • Re: Beocenter 7002 Trimmers

Hi Soren, Thanks but I would like to find an English supplyer. I am able to get 220R presets from many places. The set is a Beocenter 7002 and it is 3R224) "idle curent set" anyone know why I could not use 220r instead of the 250r? The resistor that is working is set and measures 100r "where it is set at" and the slider is linked to one end of the carbon track. Would 220r replace 250r ? Thanks for looking John.

Hi Step1 Thanks, All 250R If you had 2 that would get one Beocenter 7002 set working. And I will contact Mxxxxx to find out lead time on another 4 all 250R. Please Pm me re cost if you can find any. I have never had any Beo equipment before and in the space of one month I have got a Beocenter 7000, 2x 7002 plus tape recorder, CD player oh and a 1900 and 3300. All from different places and a story behind each. John.

  • Beocenter 7002 Trimmers

My Beocenter 7002 needs the 2 "Idle current Trimmers" changing, Seems a common fault on many of the beo amps. Should I change them for the same skeleton trimmers or are better replacements available? Thanks, John. Also thank you Martin for all your help in getting this set working.

  • Re: Beovision 8 - IR electrosmog?

Hi, Could it be the lights in your room interfering? I have just bought an old Beocenter 7002 and 10 - 20 seconds after swiching room lights on, the 7002 WAIT! sign flashes 5 times (the room has five CFLs) I have not tried it with a different brand of bulb yet but the command is standby which is annoying if I am listening to set at the time. Putting my hand over the sensor proves signal is entering by the sensor and not mains wiring John.

  • Beocenter 7002 record speed

My Beocenter 7002 selects the correct record speed (33) then about 2 or 3 minutes later changes to 45 pressing 33 corrects the problem but it will self change maybe 3 or 4 times before settling down and can play the same record a few times without a problem, Any idears what is causing this? I thought it may be the 45 button making intermitent contact, so I put a few coins on button to wheigh it down to try and introduce the fault but it made no difference. John.

Hi Nick, pressing center down a few times seems to have cured the problem. I was aware of the wheighing system but did not know it used a reed swich. Thank you for your help, John. I just finnished writing this and it changed from 33 to 45, DRAT! I have played 4 lps and this is the first hickup. I think the reed swich will need investigating.

  • Re: Beocenter 7002 Lid changing

I got my Son to help me change the spring and it was no different when we had finished. On close inspection the middle hing on the black plastic strip had been broken so there was less friction to hold the lid in the upright position. Luckly I had yet another pre 7000 /7002 chassis with a broken lid but the plastic strip was intact. In all we changed the springs three times without damaging anything. I now have two woking covers, one perfect the other badly marked. After protecting the perspex from

  • Beovox S80 cover Information

I have a pair of S80s I need to refoam them, My main trouble is the front covers are missing, I guess I would not be able to buy the covers so I am thinking of making a set of covers with a thin wood frame but not sure if this would be possible. Could anyone take a few pictures with measurements. Anyone know if the original cloth is available? Where is best place to buy the foam / rubber rolls? Thanks for looking, John.

Hi Rich, I am in England. Thank you for the link to thread very interesting but my speakers are different to the thread. After writing my request I got the speakers out to have a look at them. The plastic fronts stick out at least 40mm beyond the wood sides, and are curved at the edges it will take more to make than I had hoped. I realy need closeup photographs and measurements if anyone can help. John.
