Re: BeoVision Contour

If they’d priced it closer to 4K rather than 5k (gbp), most here would have had little issue
B&O is a worldwide 'luxury' brand, with a premium price point, expensive dealers to maintain and, more important, dealers who expect a certain amount of revenue from a TV sale. That's why that premium is in place. One thing I do agree that it's a shame the Stage has never been updated to support WISA or connecting

Re: BeoVision Contour

Removing the surround capabilities on the Contour is a shame, but is just about justifiable on what is supposed to be a stand alone unit.
It's also an entry-level B&O TV and we forget this. The more features you add, the more it adds to the cost, which we seem to forget, too. I'm happy with the Contour as it stands. Good design, reasonable price, does what we need for a standalone TV. Lower expectations and it's

Re: BeoVision Contour
It looks great. But seems incredibly overpriced compared to a stage, stand, LG CX, beoremote combo. You don’t get any additional features. B&O seem to have missed a trick in regards to the PL/surround sound capability - the Horizon did it!! Seems like a significant downgrade and a lazy decision to simply plug a stage into a LG tv and call it an “entry level” BeoVision.

Re: BOTF BeoVision Contour First Look

Where is the evolution in design?
Simon, simply expecting too much based on the current climate. Old customers looking back at the glory days isn't where B&O sees it's future and you either need to adapt or accept defeat. On one hand we have people here saying the Horizon was too expensive, and then others claiming they want a 'unique design' and 'support for curtains, powerlink and so on'

Re: Beolab 8000 vs Stage
I have both and as others have said the sound is different. The stage is great and I personally think it sounds fantastic with more than enough bass, however you are physically limited by the width/height of the bar (like all soundbars) so you don’t get that true big wide & high soundstage you get with the 8000s or any separates to be honest. The stage is a perfect all rounder and does the movies, tv and music to a very high standard and would rather match the stage with a tv than the 8000s
