  • Re: BEOCenter 2300 - Green light stays lit in standby mode

I think, there is a misunderstanding about the green led. There is an option for the BC2300 and BC2500 to mute the speakers during timer operation. If You wish the speakers to turn on during timer operation. To change this behaviour, You should press the "mute" button when the system is in standby. If the green led is on, the speakers will be active during the timer operation. If the green led is off, the speakers will be off during timer operation. For example: If You want a timer recording

  • Re: Beovision MX 7000 / digital cable receiver

If You mean an STB (Set top box) as a digital cable receiver, then the answer is of course, yes, You can use it with an MX 7000. An SD quality STB works with scart connector(s), so You can simply attach it as a VCR/DVD to the MX series. To do it You have to setup the TV for the connection (ie.: You have to set the Scart connector to act as VCR-2, or SAT on the remote controller to switch to the STB), which is a very simple thing. You can not use an HD quality STB, because it uses HDMI connector(s

  • Re: Beovision 5 forgets sound settings

On the former MX series You can, and You have to STORE the default sound setting, IMHO You have to do it on a BV5 too. Simply set Your preferred sound settings (for power on default) and press "SOUND"+"STORE"+"STORE" on Your remote. I hope this helps :)

  • Re: Beocenter 9500

In advance I wish to confirm, that I don't know nothing about this configuration. However the problem is so strange, maybe an uncommon idea can help You, if it fits this case. As I remember well, there were several problems with the remotes if the "Option" setting was wrong, or incorrect. I think if it fits to BC9500, maybe You can check the "Option" setting to a correct value for a two way communication. As I mentioned earlier, I don't know if this "option"

  • Re: Silver membership by Paypal?

Oh, yes, that's true. It's complicated, and very expensive, as it has a fixed fee and a variable fee, which can be compared to the annual gold membership. And just for fun, from abroad You need to transfer foreign currency to England (even if You transfer GBP), and You are NOT able to send the correct ammount, as nowadays the EU changed the rules, so You can not accept all costs for a transfer. For this reason, sometimes there is no way to transfer an exact ammount to the recipient. IMHO

  • Re: What is this connector called?

Just for the record, with the replacement of the plug, I'm using the very same rabbit ear antenna with a BS2500 with pleasure (of course with a replacement plug). This is a little piece of evidence for B&O's timeless design and ideology, as this antenna can be connected without any problem to a long later designed B&O system.

  • Re: Removal of B&O items by eBay after reporting the sellers.

"but do not seam able to plug this hole in their security.," Oopss... I don't think You have to blame E-bay when for example a user has an "easy to use" password, and somebody steals it - Ebay can only act if somebody (like You - thanks for it!) tells them that this account is probably compromised. As Paypal is not mandatory payment there is no way to deny the payment for a different Paypal address and it's not even a fraud, for example a private person intend to sell

  • Re: a whispering Beosystem 2500

Dear Npac, Thank You for the kind wishes :) I don't intend to suggest that the seller is a liar. I had just an idea why the volume control (and IMHO the "Sound" button) doesn't work at all on Your system as it's a very unusual problem, I never heard that a Beocenter doesn't show the Volume options on the display but everything else is working fine. The only thing I ever seen with a Beocenter - which can be a clue for this case - is the RDS panel. As You might know, the installation

"But are you sure the the click is from the beosystem and not the beolabs?" You are right, mine is on the wall, and it just sounds as the Becenter clicks, but the sound comes from the Beolabs. Sorry. "The red led in blinking, so the buttons are wolking, but no click sound and no indication on display (I don't know if yours display "MUTE" when you click the mute button)." No, there is no "mute" message, however the volume level is displayed as "Vol
