• Re: PS3 to turn on Avant

A while ago I had a cheap supermarket DVD player connected to my Avant. Switching on the DVD player turned on the Avant, I don't recall doing anything other than assign the scart socket in the set up menu. I have since replaced the Avant with a BeoVision7 so I can't check it for you. Opman

  • Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter
Pressing RADIO on your beo4 will react on both, so this can be an issue. The BC2 will go to FM-radio, and the V1 will turn on the DVB-tuner.
In the V1 set up menu it is possible to reassign the radio command (fofr Freeview radio stations) to somethinmg else if you wish. That would avoid a clash of commands with the BeoCentre2 Opman

  • Re: BeoCenter 2 Socket Unit replacement

There are two versions of the Beocentre2, mark 1 & mark2.* You need to identify which version your BeoCentre2 head unit is. Then you can search for the matching socket box. You can replace the socket box but it must match teh version of head unit. I beleive the difference relates to the DVD mechanism that was changed when the mark2 came into production. Good luck Opman * There are of course different variants within each mark number, DVD or audio only and with or without DAB. You need to establish

  • Re: V1-40 finally installed, just a few issues

The Beo4 remote is not in the box with the T V but is included in the retail price along with the basic floor stand. If you don't buy the new Beo4 remote the TV is cheaper. However you need the new version of the Beo4 (type 1710 with the joysick) to navigate the on screen menus. Opman

  • Re: Switching the video Off but retaining the audio in a BEOVISION 8-40

I don't think an apology is required. The forum is here to help and as a new poster you shouldn't feel that your questions are not worthy of an answer. Having worked in retail for decades I know from experience that the majority of users don't read (or understand) the guides supplied with the products. Welcome to BeoWorld Opman

  • Re: Help with BeoSound 3000

It is unlikely to be the pin code as this causes the red led to blink when the pin code is locked. Have you tried powering off the equipment for a few minutes then powering back on again. Do you have a plasma screen in ten same room? This wouldn't cause the buttons to stop working but may block ir signals from your Beo4 remote. Do you have anything else connected to the BeoSound3000? If so unplug Masterlink cable and/or Aux cable to see if an external source is causing the problem. Hope one of

  • Re: ML set up

Try the BeoSound3000 in option4. This is the special link mode. CD commands got to the BeoSound3000 in the local set up. Link CD commands go to the BeoSound9000 audio master in the main room. The BeoVision3 should be in option6 You will need to add the "Link" command to the List button on your Beo4. Opman

  • Re: hotel beo 4
Cheers guys thanks for info and sorry to say it was included in a purchase with a mx4200 however these were from a 5 star hotel chain which was updating to lcds! Thanks again !
In which case the MX4200's "may" have the B2B module fiited. This allows the sets to work with the hotels system. You may need to disable the B2B module for the set to work once you have sourced a standard Beo4. Opman

  • Re: Flood of BeoSound 8 systems on Ebay

I don't think it is as straight forward as simply changing the dock itself. If you compare the list of compatible Apple products for BeoSound8 and BEOPLAY A8 they are different. I have come across an instance where one particular iPod model would play on A8 but would not play on BeoSound8. In both instances the ipod was docked. Time will tell if there is a solution to upgrade the integrated dock on BeoSound8 with the lightning connector. Even if there is an upgrade, unlike the A8 it will be permanent

  • Re: B&O PLAY will soon launch a new premium product

I suggest you reserve judgement until you have seen and heard it in your local stores. I heard it this week at a training meeting and the sound quality is not lacking. When you see images of the A9 in a room set up you will see that it almost merges into the background. There is a deliberate lack of logo so that it isn't obvious when you see it what it is. I think this is a winner :-)
