  • Re: Link Volume

Thanks for the reply and yes, I've been trying to find a way around this problem for a long time. My TV as you say is simply tuned to the link frequency and the MCL2A passing the commmands to the main room system. In reply to your last message in the newer thread I understand the LINK prefix used to access main room sources etc but "link volume" is something I don't understand. The Beocom 6000 Mk2 has 4 volume codes (video volume - audio volume - link video volume - link audio volume

Option 5 has improved things because following the LINK>SAT command I then have volume control over the MCL2A connected speakers.

Yes you will need an XP PC. I also tried it in Windows 10.

Is it still possible to download the PCG? There is no link from the "products" section of the main site.

  • Re: LX5500

I have worked round the issue by storing the link frequency in channel presets 46/47/48/49 which is something you would have to do if you have an MCL2AV connected. My other LX TV's don't behave this way with MCL2A's so still not sure why this one is different.

  • Re: Beovision 8-32 DVB

Sorry it took 6 months to see your reply. That's an interesting way of doing it. I've never had a product without scart or phono output but increasingly they will be HDMI only. The BV8 certainly have a very useful array of connections. I am looking for a small version (26") B&O have unfortunately neglected the small TV segment

  • LX5500

I have an LX TV in a room with an MCL2A. I can access main room sources with the link command using a TV channel tuned to the link frequency. But this LX seems to just switch off the tuner as soon as link> source is selected. It is not a link issue because I had another LX in the same room which worked OK. I wonder if its an option setting on the TV. I have tried both option 1 & 2 but it is the same.

Thanks Lawrence I will try that. No physical connection though between the TV and MCL in this case.

  • Beovision LX5500

I have a BV LX5500 in Rosewood. In the family since new and still in good working order other than when first switched on there is sometimes a temporary magenta haze over the picture. This clears and it is then very sharp. I have a wheeled stand or a motorised one also. Anyone interested? Collection from Skipton area UK.
