• Re: LG @ CES 2020: B&O-related announcements?

My answer was lost. As this iOS app always seems a bit buggy I’m not surprised either. Anyway I think B&O should and could cooperate deeper with LG. We are used to and B&O should require implementation of the blinds and the interface design customization. The last tv having a genuine B&O style in software was pre Android. The NG(Android) models kept the design but lost the typography as they went from BeoFont to a standard Android system font. On the Lg it’s even worse and they use many
Yes, the old lg menu on my eclipse looked kinda childish and way too colourful. The lg menu on my harmony is a lot smaller and way less in your face. It looks modern and is kinda sleek. A lot more grey scales and less gloss so to say.
Do you mean the eclipse one or the harmony one? The Harmony looks a lot more sleek and way less childish, if not modern now.
New TV’s with more (or less) B&O integration? Other?
I would be happy if they made webOS skinable and add feature due the blinds that older B&O have. The current webOS is simply childish in design and really, really ugly. I’ve refused to replace my Avant mainly because it’s so bad and not even beautiful to start or turn off. Blinds, fade in/out sound and more discrete and elegant interface is all I hope for :)

  • Re: Beovision Eclipse V2 release?

I also asked my dealer a few weeks ago and same there. Seemingly no interest even. I have a hard time understanding B&O as they seem to have learnt nothing. For whom is the harmony even? It’s cool but lacks the features that we are used to with swiveling stands and usable features.

  • Re: Buzzing from Avant 55” back
I am having the same issue. But only sometimes. I cannot really figure out how to trigger the noise and what makes it disappear. My model is from December 2014.
I believe the sound is different depending on how much power is necessary. I noticed it changed as I changed the backlight light level. But my sound is subtle. Almost inaudible. But I believe it’s more than it used to be and probably will get worse with time. But I can’t say for sure. It might have
Have you moved the silver metal backing pieces just to see incase it’s one of them ?
Yea it’s not the plate itself, it’s just an electrical noise on certain brightness levels. I couldn’t hear it yesterday and it’s probably only easy to hear from a certain angle when the tv is rotated slightly.
Yeah, I've had that on mine too. It was a defective power supply, they dismantled the TV and changed it (luckily still under warranty at the time)
👍 I’m not sure it’s a defect per say but maybe. I’ve heard this buzz from different monitors throughout the years and I remember my old Samsung plasma had it. They solved it by gluing they components in huge amounts of glue 😂. I still have warranty until 2020 I think so might look into it. I just wish

Just checked my warranty. It’s valid until January 1, 2021! Amazing. I’ll relax a bit more.

  • Buzzing from Avant 55” back

Hello, As I was walking around in my home yesterday evening I noticed a very subtle buzzing noise from the back of my avant 55 mk1. I’m not sure if it’s been there always because it was now placed in an angle I don’t always use and with sound on mute. I realized it stopped buzzing if I turned the picture off and it changes if I adjust the backlight level. I’m pretty sure it’s the power board creating the noise and it’s probably nothing to worry about but thought I might as well ask here just in case
