• Re: Beosound Century laser mechanism.
Hello guys. Hope you are all well. Somebody offered me a century with serial number starting with 1231xxxxx (assuming 1997?). Can somebody please tell me if this unit has the laser mechanism that moves in an arc, or moves in a linear line. They do not understand what I am talking about when I ask the question, and the unit is in the colour combination that I was looking for (they live interstate, so I cannot view it). I am assuming if it has the mechanism moving in an

  • Re: Sound system in V1-40 same as BeoLit 12?
Congratulations Michael !!!! And happy nationaldag in Denmark! (even if it means a delay of a day to the arrival of the V1 )
Thanks Elephant :). It is actually the nationaldag of Sweden today, Denmark was yesterday and I live in Sweden. So I got my danish TV delivered from Denmark on their national day, where our calendar said that the name of the day was "Bo". I took it as a sign :P And now I can't get it today since it is our national day
Yes Congrats Michael! Did you go for the white one? Please please please let us all know your thoughts and praises for it, once you have played with your new toy! Sounds exciting... All Michael do you have a Apple TV? I would be interested to hear your views. Here's an interesting question. I had a B&O BV6-22 a few years ago and I thought the sound quality from it was really really decent (DVD1 & Grundig Sky box). Is the V1 better sounding than this? [
Congratulations Michael - I do believe that the V1 will live up to your high expectations - despite some negative thoughts vis a vis the aesthetics with other higher end B&O's expressed by some in another thread on the V1, having at least seen the white, I really liked it, as have others here, and I am waiting with pent up excitement to see the black, and hopefully the table stand before making a final decision for myself. Looking forward with interest to your
Thanks for your input on the BV6-22 - It sounded better than my Century as the Century's casing vibrated & boomed a lot when playing music at a decent level whereas the BV6 cabinet was rock solid. Anyway, very much looking forward to your review...
Interesting to hear about the bv6 vs century. I had a century but sold it a year ago or so. Cant really imagine that bv6 sounded better, wow. I am a real Mac geek so I promise to do my best
I got a Ps3 on my 10-46 purely for its Blu Ray, and have used it for this probably 3 times. Bad Company 3 on the other hand........ Apple TV all the way.
I can imagine that. My ps3 is almost never used. But the image is better on bluray than apple tv as is the picture. But it'll get there :)

  • Re: New BeoPlay V1-40 or used BV7-40 Mk 3?
Thanks Mawheele, I appreciate your (seemingly knowledgable and rational) comebacks to those (seemingly biased/opinionated comments) on the BV7-M3! I want to like the V1, but there's nothing particularly about the look of it that makes me REALLY aspire to own one. Also I know that however good the media player is, it's still going to be clunky compared to using Spotify on a MacBook (which is inevitably what I would use). I just want HDMI ins and 5.1 Powerlink
At the risk of blowing my own horn (toot toot!) The True Image algorithm in the V1 is one of my contributions to B&O - developing and tuning it have comprised a large part of my daily existence for the past couple of years. cheers -geoff
:) Sounds fun. I hope it has been good work! Things like this should be marketed more but I am very happy to learn about it from you. Could you also say if the beolit speakers in any way are like the V1? I am curious

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

Richard, nice to see you got your bv10-46. I am also looking at the BL11 sub and it sure looks beautiful. By the way, don't know what wallpapers you were thinking about but I think you should go for a bright wallpaper on the TV-wall. Have a nice nationaldag tomorrow, skål!
Hi Michael, To continue on with the conversation further and further from the topic in the title... :-) Glad to hear that I've calmed your fears - however, you bring up a different issue in this response. Both Dolby and DTS ensure that the decoders for their respective formats in any given product work properly. However, that is not to say that an audio track encoded in a DTS format will be the same as the same track encoded in a Dolby format - they won't
