• Re: BeoLab14 Options...
Thought's please....
An other setup possibility: If you don't want / need a surround setup, but are using different positions for listening to music and watching TV in the SAME room, you can share the sub. Simply connect eg PL-Front to the TV and PL-Rear to the audio system. This will give you two nice 2.1 setups for both zones of the room ...

 • Re: NL/ML Delay Box
It is so - this box 'only' has an effect on rooms connected via ML. The audiosystem MUST be in Option 0 (with no speakers). This was not described in the part of the info, that I published.
Absolutely right! And there is a real BIG difference compared to simple 3rd party delay-boxes. Since every ML component "knows" the source of the sound (either audio or video) the B&O ML- box can handle (= delay) signals differently corresponding

 • Re: NL/ML Delay Box
Scarce R&D resources could have been better used elsewhere me thinks
A similar model of the Mastelink Delay box has been available for approx 2 years. To coop with the longer delay caused by the BeoLink NL<>ML converter and the different amounts of delay time for different sources, it needed an update to become more "intelligent". No necessity to re-invent the "wheel ", just some very effective "wheel balancing" .

 • Re: Beolab 14 kaufen?

 • Re: Beosound 2 spielt keine Musik

 • Re: Beolab 14 sub
Sorry to say it... .....if you, Vienna, and your dealer already played around with this stuff, you must have seen the 'Quick Guide' long ago ! And therefore, no need to consult the B&O-support for asking if and how to connect e.g. a Playmaker with the BL14.
I don't know the reason for your subtle criticism - if you consider 2 or 3 days prior to the official launch as "long ago" - you're right... Yes, the "Quick Guide"
Hi Vienna, nice to have a dealer, who also is curious!
Indeed! And he forwarded the new infos he got from B&O support to me ... http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/5866/54221.aspx#54221

 • Re: Beosound 5 and Ouverture in one Config
Part of the problem might be the old SW level in my ouverture.
No - the BeoSond Overture simply has never been updated to be "Netmusic / Netradio" compliant. BTW, SW 2.1. update kit for Ouverture - which won't solve your specific issue (i'ts offering link-room use of an Ouverture as a secondary local system in A.OPT 5 + 6) is not any longer available.
One solution - however very crude - solution is to switch off

 • Re: Beolab 14 sub
Hi Vienna, I am very interested to learn that it may be possible to give 2.1 sound from a stereo source via a single cable, this is not something that I had time to test prior to the launch. However, my understanding is that this is not done via the RJ45 inputs, but using the 15 pin D-Sub socket located near to the Powerlink inputs.
NO 15 pin reqired - just a single B&O or Sounds Heavenly DIN<>RJ or RJ<>RJ POWERLINK CABLE
