• B&O share price

The price has been on a steady decline since the end of September. The price today is 47.3. This is down close to the lowest price this year when the shares traded at 46.3 on April 18. The lowest price I could find was 34.9 on June 17, 2009. Still well above that point. Remember when the share price was 755 on February 5, 2007? What crazy days those were. Have any of the new loudspeakers started shipping to customers? I guess it will be January 16 when the 2nd quarter report is out to see the hoped

  • Re: Active beolab 5 ???

The Beolab 5 must be in option 1 to receive the Beo 4 remote signal to do the pin code. You can use the Beo 4 to change the option number. You then need to reset it to option 0 if you are using the speakers with a B&O audio or video system to turn off the remote to the speakers. All of this must be done with only one speaker plug in to power at a time. Otherwise one speaker will receive the wrong codes. To unlock the pincode system Each BeoLab 5 must be switched on – one at a time –

  • How are those new wireless speakers selling?

I was wondering how the new speakers are selling in the shops. Anyone know? Usually when a new innovative product like these is announced the stock price goes up dramatically. The B&O stock has been on a three month decline since September when they were announced. it was up to 57 it is now down to 44. Last January it was at 70. That's a 33% decline. Seems the lower it goes the more likely some one would make a play to acquire the company. I remember reading the Danish Union shop steward

  • Re: Beovision 9 hours use on buying used.
6,691 hours is nothing. It's like looking at a modern car with 10,000 miles (16,000km) on the odometer. If the price is right, buy it! Lee
I have have one for sale now on eBay with 2827 screen on hours. That works out to 1.3 hours per day of use over the past six years or 8 hours a week. It was in someone's second home. According to Lee's example mine is like a car with 5000 miles (8000km) on it.

Just reading news, Loewe rescued by former top Bang Olufsen Managers. Wtf ?!
Yup. And ex-Apple, ex-Lowe as well as ex-B&O. Enough EXs to fill a Mormon divorce court (if such a thing exists) ... or to make for excellence ! http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/01/16/loewe-sale-idUSL5N0KQ46K20140116
] Wonder who they are?

  • Re: Tue's presentation technique
who is the guy sitting on the couch? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTtGHZiQ2LM
The person n the couch is the US product manager. He is a very charismatic product presenter who I has been with B&O many years. He should have been the one talking as he usually is the one making the CES press briefings.

Lets hope it doesn't get so small it disappears! The marketing problem is the most worrisome. It just never seems to get any better. I just read a review of the new Beats Music streaming service. The reviewer in USA today loves it predicts it will hurt Spotify, Pandora and iTunes radio. With the way Beats has taken over the headphone market with the young generation this could be possible. It is after all the brainchild of a music executive. He talks about how great the app is and how it brings

  • Re: B&O in 2014....

B&O is focusing most of their hopes on China it seems from the conversations here. The Chinese market last year accounted for 1.7 million of the 1.9 million 4K TV sets sold . The writing seems to be very clear. Without a 4K TV the growth in China will be very difficult. Chinese high end consumers want the latest technology. This has never been B&O's strong suit. I guess it depends on if Tue can change that trend. Another question is the importance of Europe. If B&O fails in Europe

  • Re: New Copenhagen store design.
They all will have to adopt this new design, but I belive they (the B1's) have until end of 2015 to do so. Roger
I was curious how all the mechanical elements were holding up to daily use? Does the MK II design have less moving parts?
