• Re: Beosystem 2300 no sound/but works with headphones
Are you kidding me or better us? If you take a close look at the back you will see 2 other connectors adjacent to the powerlink 8 pin connector. One of the two (male) is for the mains and must be connected to the outlet socket, like your Beocenter 2300. Good luck, now it should be working
What Leslie means is that you will have to connect a cable from each speaker to a wall outlet, so now you will have 4 cables connected, 2 cables from amplifier/receiver to
Here is a picture of my variac, AC ammeter, AC voltmeter and (switch in/out) dim bulb tester. The light bulb will take the current when you apply power to a device that has a short. It (the bulb) acts as a current limiting device. When it is in the circuit and there is no short, the bulb will briefly glow, then go dim ... indicating there isn't a short. If the bulb glows bright and remains in that state, then there is a short. It is a quick, easy test to indicate

  • Cannot write blogs cannot upload pics

When trying to write a blog, I can write the Subject or head line, but can't write in the text pane. When trying to post pics from files, I can only post from my first 10 files, the rest does not show in the pop up window. And still we cant see pics in the old forum, slowly I get tired of this new forum and the way it does or does not work. Its very time consuming to write long threads with photos, using the uploaded pics is a lot slower than just make 1 (one) reply and 1 pic, and onto the next
How much did you paid for the caps Evan? Again my compliments for this new picturized thread. Still I have my doubts if you can really hear the difference after recapping. Must try such a project with all my Beovoxes I own. Please continue....
I wanted to use Solen caps for my 3702, but the price for 8 caps was over USD 100.00, so I choose to use caps from Martin. I tested one speaker with new caps and resistors, against the other one with the old caps, and
For someone so young you have a great collection of vinyl records (from rock's good years). On this crossover recap - are you going to do just one speaker first and compare the sound to the other speaker? If you do set your music source to mono and see if you can hear a difference. I tried that on my Beovox S55's but I replaced the electrolytics with new electrolytics and couldn't really tell a difference. I thought I did at first but as I listened to
Did yours cause any interference or degradation in sound? Also what size did you need for your equipment?
Never had problems, except for one old step up humming a little, dont remember the brand, at moment I have this one but only use it occasionally. If using surge protector, use it before the step up. Use step ups with 30 % more capacity (Watts) than the items max. watts. And use grounded outlets. With 220 outlets installed everything is much simpler and
By the way Søren, do your son still need a room mate? I think I'll be starting my mechanical engineering studies in Aarhus after the summer holidays as I can't seem to find a job anywhere. It's a waste of time and money to have a "fjumreår" without any source of income!
I think that Christians Room mate is staying, but mail him and he will help you, he is living in Brabrand, not sure if that is convenient for you

  • Re: Anyone take their 220v B&O equipment to the US?

Depending on what you have. Some of the B&O can be changed to 110 V without problems, but if not, step up transformers are the easiest solution. I use a 220 installation, but it was easy to do as I renovated an old house. before that I used step up.
