• Re: BeoLink 7000 Remote

The charger base (mains plug) would be different between EU / UK. My strong guess is the remote unit itself is completely identical.

Sorry for the non-B&O content, but this old Bernina is just too awesome
Serviced my wife's Singer embroidery machine a couple of weeks ago (cleaning and some drops of oil) 10-12 years old amazing engineering
This Bernina 707 is from 1967 and the GF's now late mother had bought it new, that's why I'm trying to keep it in the family so to speak - and I actually need a sewing machine every now and then. It's a lovely piece of Swiss engineering. Aside some knobs, the machine has about 2 plastic parts

  • Re: Beovox Cona and Beovox Redline 7000/140 a good combination

The Cona is designed to work with the C/CX series of small bookshelf speakers, and with them it does its job. I suspect that the biggest RLs themselves will go lower than a Cona, so it's not going to add much of anything. But of course worth a try, if you already have all these!

  • Re: Beolab 8000 lower amplification possible
Why? Can’t you just turn the volume down? I don’t get why you would want to, but you may have a good reason so you have my interest
I can understand why - I have Beolab 8000s in my bedroom connected to BS6500. Sometimes when sleep just doesn't come, I'd like to leave them playing classical music, and even at the lowest volume (02) this combination is too loud for that.

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 and Beo4

The red dot button or standby function shouldn't have anything to do with the speakers. I suspect your Beo4 just has a flakey off button (or see below). "TV" is a video command. By default, an audio unit (such as your Beomaster) doesn't react to video commands. You will need to program the Beomaster to option 2, then it will react to both audio & video commands: https://www.beoworld.org/beotech/mlsetups.htm

I would rather not see this forum degenerate into a picture board. Please elaborate a bit more on whatever you have to say.

  • Re: Sightings
Such a long time since I've been there. Is that the shop in Mikonkatu? If I remember correctly they used to be on Pohjoisesplanadi before. I think I saw the Redlines there as well
No, this was at the headquarters / factory which is in the eastern suburbs. I think there are five or six shops in central Helsinki alone nowadays (most of them in shopping centres though).

  • Re: Using Ikea smart lights with BLGW
Today, I added a Tradfri bridge to manage the Ikea lights and control them through its app, HomeKit, and Alexa. I also found that they have some interesting remotes for control. There are several different styles of remotes and they can all be connected to the wall via magnet. However, there is a limit to 2 remotes that can control a room and all lights in a room are grouped for control. You can't have independent control of lights if you have them treated as in
