    Ok so testing it this weekend for the first time with a record (duh). So yea, some issues with playback but the Beogram most definitely detects and plays the record. So I'm a bit perplexed as thing has not been used for some years due to there being some or other issue, being told by family members it does not detect the vinyl records. Oh well, it will remain a mystery Issue with playback is it plays fine for a few minutes and then starts repeating the same section of the record, I opened up

    I'm embarrassed to say I haven't tested it with a record yet. I've received it as is with the message saying the turntable does not work ie. the tonearm does not detect a record. So I've blindly followed the above without doing my own tests, let me do that first and Ill revert back to you. In the meantime, I don't think this turntable has been used let alone serviced in quite a few years, would it be worthwhile in procuring some of the belts for backups? Both belts look quite

    Hi Martin thanks for the reply. Yes there most definitely is a light in the sensor arm. Interestingly enough, if the turntable is fully assembly and switched on, the arm simply moves over the platter and back again to the start position. If the turntable is disassembled, with the platter removed and then switched on, the arm moves into position to play a normal sized vinyl, stops and starts lowering the arm. If I press On again it lifts the arm and continues on its way to the end of the vinyl and

    Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. Recently got my hands on my grandparent's B&O turntable, tape deck, amp & speaker set (which admittedly I've been coveting for quite some time.) I've always loved the B&O set so would like to get it up and running again, starting with the turntable.
