  • Is there a way to automatically group speakers?

Hi all, from a multiroom standpoint: is there a way to automatically group speakers in a multiroom setup? When I start playing on one device, I can add speakers via Beoplay. But I would love to automatically add all speakers when I start using one speaker. Is there a way to do that? Example: I listen to music in the bedroom. As soon as the music starts, I want all other speakers to play the same music as well. Sonos has a similar feature that is called 'grouping' speakers.

  • Re: Beolab 20 unleashes full armageddon!

btw: my Beolab 20s are connected wirelessly to the transmitter, which is connected to a Beosystem 4. The sound occurs not necessarily in the beginning, but sometimes also in the middle of listening to something. Interestingly, it is only the right speaker (so far).[quote user="dasun"] This has happened with my Beolab 20s too a few times. It seems to be the right speaker. I thought it might have been a bad wireless connection. Unfortunately, I cannot trigger this response - so it's almost

This has happened with my Beolab 20s too a few times. It seems to be the right speaker. I thought it might have been a bad wireless connection. Unfortunately, I cannot trigger this response - so it's almost impossible to find a problem solution with my dealer. It's a loud digital noise including some clicking sounds. Our little dog almost went crazy, he was so scared, he didn't know what to do. Has anyone found a solution yet? Or at least a reason for those sounds?

  • Re: beosound1 review

I have the Beosound 1 for a few weeks now. I love the design and its ease of use. I have to admit, the sound is pretty bad though :) in my case, I have the Beosound 1 in the hallway, so sound quality isn't the biggest priority. When using multiroom, you can totally hear the difference in quality compared to e.g. the Beovision 11 or my Beolab 20. It would be a big help, if it was possible to adjust the bass and treble. IMO it sounds too 'boomy'

  • Re: Which router to use? Very unstable internet connection...

One more thing: it seems like the music does not play synchronized. I believe the Beosound 1 is slightly ahead of the other devices. Is there a good and simple way to check that? What could be the reason that it's not synchronized and how can I fix it? All my devices are connected to an Airport Express, the Beosound has a wireless connection to the Apple Time Capsule (main WLAN).

  • Re: Essence in combination with v1: wake-up function possible?

Short update: it works very good! I connected the Essence wirelessly with the v1 in the network by selecting integrated setup / primary device in the Beosetup app. Now I can start an alarm on the Essence, and it wakes up the v1 and starts playing music. I don't really understand, why I can only choose between tunein and an alarm signal, but maybe there is going to be an update sometime. It is indeed a rather expensive upgrade to have a wake-up function on the v1, but I also do think it is an

  • Re: Which router to use? Very unstable internet connection...

Thanks for the advice. My B&O dealer recommended to get additional Apple Airport Express devices, so that's what I did. Installation was very easy, and I basically got rid of the WLAN function of the Fritzbox. The Fritzbox is still connected to the Internet, though, and I am using an Apple Time Capsule, connected to the Fritzbox, for WLAN. The Airport Express devices are connected to the Time Capsule to extend the wireless range. The WLAN connections seem to be a little bit more reliable

  • Re: Essence in combination with v1: wake-up function possible?

How did you exactly connect the Essence to the v1? I read both manuals for the Essence and the v1 as I am wondering how to connect them. Did you use the output for the speakers PL1/PL2 on the Essence or was it a wireless connection? Thanks in advance!
