UPDATE: Amazed
I went to my local dealer and was blown away: The 18s + Theatre blew away the 28s (wide mode) + Theatre …. so the 18s+19+theatre would be far superior than 28s+theatre.
I was completely shocked at how much ‘space’ and ‘surround’ and ‘detail’ you can get from the 18s.
I was umm’ing and ahh’ing about this for weeks, and needed to do a test — we spent about 2hrs: Pricing discussion then sound test. Sound test involved:
a. deep house
b. Classical
c. Cinema scores
d. Film scenes — 1986 Top Gun intro, 2000 Gladiator intro
Aside: I also pinged ‘John from Manchester’ and the Mikipedia gang –> They also recommended the 18s+19 –> But again, had to test myself to be certain.
