I agree on the value proposition for sure, and I guess it explains why there never was an updated Stage with improved connectivity, something that at least was rumored from time to time. As for the design, I believe that Theatre is still more traditional B&O, though it really takes a large room and large TV for it to look good, my two cents..

Would be interesting to have the Tonmeister do a technical deep dive on this new product as well.

Looks like the volume issue has been solved.

TV: AV5, it was a bit odd, but it was such a cool device. I had the fortune to work with some people in the video department at B&O and they regarded the AV5 to be the best television set they had ever developed.

    Audio: Beosound 9000…

Speakers: Beolab 8000, maybe not their best sounding speaker but for sure the best design.

Telephone: Beocom 6000, excellent sound and I loved the wheel control.

I’ve had it happen once more, but again it magically started working after a day or so.

Unfortunately yesterday my Stage completely died on me. No lights, no reaction, not able to reset, guessing it’s something wrong with the PSU, but will probably have to have it shipped off for repair….

Yeah, turned out to be a defective PSU and Ethernet board, that latter I have a hard time to understand, anyway, €500 and it is as good as new… Though still no update to fix the intermittent loss of volume control. Oh well, you can’t have everything I guess… 🙂

    FYI.

After 4 days it magically started working again…

B&O support says it is a known issue they are working to fix, but that is about as much info I could get out of them.

unpair the remote and re-add it.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried, unfortunately had no positive impact.

Thanks for the info. Mine is about four years old, I would have hope that it would last a little bit longer than that.

I have the same issues, but it’s not every night, it just happens every now and then. I have not been able to find any pattern, but truly annoying to come down in the morning to find the TV on…
